CHOCOLATE NUT BUTTER PROTEIN BLISS BALLS
Makes: ~18 balls (1 inch size)
1 cup almonds (if using raw almonds, soak & dry prior to using)
¼ cup plant-based chocolate protein powder @purelyinspirednutrition
1/8 cup cacao powder @navitasorganics
1 cup medjool dates (pitted)
¼ cup nut butter @performancenutbutter
½ tsp. vanilla essence
1/8 tsp. sea salt
½ tbsp. filtered water (optional)
In a food processor, process the almonds until they are fine and crumbly.
Add the protein powder and cacao powder. Process until the mixture is combined evenly.
Next, add the pitted dates, nut butter, vanilla essence and sea salt. Process until the mixture clumps together into a ball. You may need to add some water if the mixture is too dry.
Remove the mixture from the food processor. Then, take ~ ¾ tbsp. of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
Coat each ball with coconut flakes.
These balls can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freezer for months.
